Love Tennis? Well we think you will love what we have to say. In January 2010 Love Tennis Blog was founded by three friends of Queen’s University Belfast Tennis Club. Since then Love Tennis Blog has become a popular destination for tennis players, coaches and fans.
2018
In 2018 we had a fantastic year. We continued to test and review some of the top names in the tennis world. We became partners with Vermont Sports who have recently launched a new range of tennis gear from rackets and tennis balls to nets and net posts.
From the Wilson Clash, the Head Super Fabric and the New Head Speed we trialled some amazing gear. We contributed several articles to Indy Best including the best tennis shoes, tennis gear and tennis rackets! Aswell as this we tried some new and innovative tennis nutrition and compression gear. In October we were given the opportunity to visit the Campus, Quinta do Lago, Algarve Portugal, a luxury sports resort. You can read all about it here. Without doubt it was our moment of 2018. We even got to enjoy a lesson with tennis legend Judy Murray.
2017
We became partners with Body Helix Compression Technology. We also got our hands on the latest Qlipp Plus tennis sensor which we found to be a big improvement on the previous model. We had the opportunity to once again make a review of the best tennis shoes of 2017 in the Independent which was a tough job but someone had to do it! We also got to review the top tennis gear for 2017. In July 2017 we also got to test the best tennis rackets of the year in our article for the Telegraph. You can check out our findings here. Peter also featured in a television interview about the great Roger Federer follwing his 19th slam triumph at Wimbledon. You can view the interview below .
Peter also featured on the excellent Stephen Mc Cauley Soundscapes on BBC Radio Ulster.

Chris Scorah has been a big tennis fan all his life! He learned his craft at Lurgan Tennis Club, however it wasn’t until his arrival at Queens’ Tennis Club did he really begin to become involved in the game. It was at the Boatclub one wet Wednesday afternoon that he met fellow aficionado Peter Fryer and the rest they say is history. Chris went on to captain the Men’s Team at QUB and hosted the hugely successful Irish Tennis Intervarsity in 2009. On the pro tour, he has a particular soft spot for Andy Murray, but he also loves Rafa Nadal too!
Rebecca McConnell was a late bloomer only getting into tennis in her teenage years. It wasn’t until she went to Queen’s University that she started playing regularly every Wednesday afternoon, in rain, hail, the odd sunshine and even once in the snow! Rebecca admits she doesn’t get to play as much tennis now as she’d like to but plays at local courts in sunny County Down when she gets the time. A frequent visitor to the All England Club, Rebecca hopes to one year complete her own ‘Grand Slam’ and visit each major, as soon as she has saved up a small fortune for the air fares.
